Hello,
Switching an old Packard Bell computer over for a new tower - not for me, but for my sister.
Anyway, I've come across a bit of a problem. The monitor has the usual blue connection to the motherboard, but also has a power connection. Rather than have a socket on the end, it has a power supply connection (the black one):
Like this >>> Linkage
The power supply on the new computer only has one connector and that is of course, to power the actual power supply - so I have nowhere to plug this black connection into.
The other lead on the old computer (that was for the power supply) is no longer needed, would it be safe and or smart to use this lead to plug into the monitor and straight into the socket?
That's explained very poorly I know - but I'm in a rush.
Cheers for any help.
