Pacman

So is there anything extra in it?

The thing about all these old games, is old fuddy duddies like me (34 at the weekend), we remember playing these games in ropey old arcades, or while on holiday in Spain in a ropey old cafe, and going for a high score to get your initials up. Live gives you that opportunity again because theres global scoreboards, and thats an attraction, where as playing it emulated or one of the remakes in flash, dosent.

How great would it be to be the worlds greatest pacman or galaga player?

My first video game was Pong on the original Atari console back in 1979?. What a game.

The Original Atari came with 'COMBAT' so that would have been your first game on the Atari ? :p in 1977 ?

Didnt you have the Binatone TV master for PONG ? Orange/Black console

People pay thousands of pounds for Nostalgia ;)
a couple of quid to have Pacman on the slick Xbox 360 interface is nothing.

My first gaming was definitely in '79 and definitely PONG. In '77 I was still gobsmacked by the incredibleness that was a digital watch with red numbers and you had to press a button to see them.

Having now downloaded and played PacMan I no longer feel the need to buy it :(

So far I've brought:

Geometry Wars
Marble Blast
Cloning Clyde
Uno

and they've all been well worth the money, note that i've not shelled out 400 big ones on any retro games as they are best left in the past as playing them now only makes you realise they are a bit crap compaired to new games.

Plus the dodgy shrunken screens or stretchyvision dont help either.

Speak for yourself buddy but todays games don`t have the play again factor of these retro games hence why they do so well. I will still be playing some of these retro games in 10, 20 years time as a good game is timeless.
