Hi OcUK,

After buying Race Griver: Grid and playing it for a while I found it would stop working, then crash my PC and give me a BSOD of PAGE_ERROR_IN_UNPAGED_AREA, or something along those lines, now I have no idea what the problem is, what could it be?

My specs -

Intel Q6600 2.4GHz
4GB OCZ RAM
Powercolour Radeon 4870HD 1GB

Is this the only game which gives the error?
Are there any patches to download for the game, possibly try running some stress test programes and download memtest to check your ram.

I have updated my game with patch 1.1 and 1.2, which are currently the only ones out. And nope, the only game, but this is the most memory intense game I have too.

I have downloaded memtest now and I will try it if I can get it to boot from it xD

Im also having issues with grid and freezes, doesnt matter if the system is at stock or overclocked, i get random freezes in the game and after exiting it to desktop, ive patched the game to the latest version and my memory is running fine at its proper settings.

If this is the only problem you have its almost certainly the game, it probably has memory leaks and needs patched.

You could google for the 3gb switch if you have wxp might make it last longer or add more ram until they patch it up.

I'm putting bets on it being Asus' rubbish chipset quality control/programming...

Its possible the NB is overheating or memory is dodgy - Asus boards aren't the most friendly with OCZ RAM either (which is actually an asus problem not OCZ).

Already lost an Asus mobo, agreed they are rubish but this i bet is a memory leak from the game 100% certainty.

Got links to evidence/workarounds? I had problems getting my Q6600 back up to 3.2Ghz after upping the RAM from 2X2gb OCZ RAM to 4x2gb.

Be interested to see what the issue is. Not fussed about resolving it, 8gb+2.4Ghz+Win7 64bit is working wonderfully for me at the moment :)

[Oh, Vanilla P5Q here]

Im also on an asus board (p5q dlx) and ocz ram, no overheating issues or ram compatibility, as this is the 2nd set of ocz ram ive used with this board without a problem, i think it may just be the game itself being very buggy.

Ok, I've turned off Auto tuning on my mobo and set my DRAM voltage to 2.1v, I can run it for longer, but it still crashes, but so far it hasn't taken my PC with it.
