Where do Pagid brakes sit performance wise compared to say, OEM Honda stuff? Are they much better, worse, or not much difference?

Depends on the pad. If we are talking pagid blue (RS4-2) then they are higher performance than the majority of OEM pads.

I would imagine that they are a like for like OE replacement part (and most likely the OEM part for many manufacturers). They won't be the high-performing parts that Pagid are renowned for.

So back to the original question in the OP, "not much different".

Reason I ask is I bought a set of brand front discs and pads off eBay for £40. They arrived today and I was wondering what to do with them... may put the discs on as I think the current ones are cheap ones and keep the pads as spare as I'll be ordering some Ferodo DS2500 and HEL lines soon.

Hi Chris,

Pagid Standard will be a direct equivalent for your standard parts - MinstaDave is correct - Pagid are one of the worlds largest braking companies and supply almost every vehicle manufacturer at some point in their range with the Pads and Discs, Current Original applications this year are the new Vauxhall Astra, Vectra OPC, Porsche Cayenne & a huge range of VW, Audi, Seat & Skodas.

Thanks Pat. Welcome to OcUK and motors. :)

I did think they were OEM replacements, otherwise I wouldn't have bought them.

I believe Pagid is the OEM for Porsche, all I can say the OEM Pagid ceramics on the 911 are simply amazing and have never experienced fade. :)

You could probably buy 5 Accord Type R's for the price it'd be to fit proper ceramic brakes and appropriate calipers on it. :D

I fitted some pagid pads from ECP to my S2000, no idea on make or model.

They were without doubt worse than the Honda items I had on the car prior to my DS2500's (Which incidentally were worse than the Pagid pads, god awful pieces of pap).

Honda pads are usually available from dealers cheaper on ebay. I think I saved about £20 going Pagid over Honda. Worst thing I ever did.
