Always last business day of the month for me
Use to be bi-weekly but they changed it
last week of the month is always a struggle lol

Until you know my financial situation I suggest you stop going on about it. My situation is no godly place.
I do NOT believe that people cannot move some of their pay dates for bills so that not being paid on the right day ruins peoples lives. I refuse to believe that.
Failing that, don't pay by DD. DD is taken a few days before a bill is actually due, so this means you can pay over the phone or online instead a day later.
I'd happily bet that most people who say they cannot afford to save for a few months to get a buffer behind them have plenty of luxuries that could be cut down on.
Yay - more assumptions.
For what it's worth, I wasn't referring to you specifically. I neither know nor care about your own personal financial situation. I was using "you" in the abstract sense (where the queen would use "one"). The point being that making condescending judgements about others based on personal circumstances is wrong.
You may "bet" that "most people" have "plenty of luxuries" that could be cut. If it makes you feel comfortable and superior, then go ahead. I can guarantee that it's not always the case.
As for "not using DD", I have never rented a house where any other form of payment was accepted.
Do you want to drop this pointless argument now, or shall we continue treading over the same ground endlessly?
Are you seriously telling me that your lettings agency will not move your due date?
Still, you know the money is needed so just set it aside each month and it will always be there to make the payment.
And how hard is that over a few months to build a buffer?
This is the attidude of the staff, its a very "personal" thing no doubt and they like to see it hit upon wakeup. The longer it goes through the day people become very uneasy.
Consultants will pay their own expenses all month so its not uncommon for their wage to be astronomical when they are claiming everything back from the month if they have been away, so this i can understand !
I have not asked them. I don't need to. I don't have a problem with finances, and I'm quite comfortable right now. I know that paying by DD on the first of each month was in the letting agreement that I signed.
I'm not sure where you get the notion that I'm feeling "low and uncomfortable", but once again, if that makes you feel better than go ahead. I simply take exception at big-headed comments which assume everyone has the free cash available to "save up" and cover extra expenses in case their employer makes mistakes.
At once time in the past I went through a few months where I was in a fairly dire financial situation. I know what it's like to live on the bare minimum, with absolutely no hope of "saving up" - to cover the mistakes of others or for any other reason.
To be clear, THESE are the comments that I took exception to. Not everyone is in the situation to be able to "save up" as you suggest.
We get paid first Friday of each month. One month could be 6 weeks, next could be 4. Sucks.
How can it ever be 6 weeks? The worst situation would be a Friday being the 1st of a Month with 31 days in, then you'd get paid on the 5th of the next month which is 35 days or 5 weeks exactly.

This month is 5 weeks, but this month feels like 6 haha 3rd August - 7th September. There isn't a 6 just me being tired and lazy![]()
