Hey.. basically whenever I barbell curl, the part of my forearm on the pinky side on both arms really hurts. Like just where the bone is but on the muscle aswell.. I dont get it when Reverse way curling. Its only really started since ive worked my forearms, but it doesnt hurt when doing some forearm exercise. Does anyone know whats wrong? I drink plenty of milk aswell. Cheers

thats life, BB curls just arent for some people. I'm the same.
Also, when i go heavy with ez bar it also happens.

DB curls win in this situation :D

Stand up and put your arms to your side

Slowly start turing your wrists outwards, so that your palm is starting to face forwards.

How far can you turn before you feel a pain/tightness in your forearm?

If its less then until your palms are fully forward, then think of the stress placed on your forearms when doing barbell curls ;)

Try using an E Z bar instead like already said, as it will be at an easier angle

Care to elaborate

Ken is on a mission to get the whole world doing compounds and hates seeing people go to the gym and do a few bicep curls then go home. It isn't a completely pointless exercise, but likewise focussing on it alone won't do you much good

Fair enough, but as well as doing your compund excercises you do have to take time to work each muscle individually so saying they are useless is a strange statement.

I have to say bicep and chest monkeys do my head in - fortunately we've managed to get rid of most of them from our gym ;)

If it hurts, don't do them, there are lots of other exercise which involve bicep work in which you don;'t have to do typical isolation exercise. It's a muscle that is over concentrated on IMO.

I get this aswell. I find that hammer curls don't hurt whereas something like heavy ez bar curls on a preacher bench leave me in agony. Just try and find excercises that don't hurt and do them instead.
