Want to use decent hard-wearing paint throughout the house and was thinking of kitchen and bathroom (mould resistant) paint.

Any disadvantages of using such paint throughout the house?

Dulux endurance is very good for the rest of the house.

Have been looking at this. Do you know what is it like when wiping it down with a wet cloth?

Johnstone coverall

Will take a look, thanks.

Dulux Diamond Matt.

And a remortgage.

But seriously - why? Generally speaking, contract matt on the ceiling will do with the hallway, bathroom and kitchen in a resistant paint. Lounges and bedrooms should be safe.

Bathroom/Kitchen paint is stain, mould and condensation resistant. You can wipe it down with a wet cloth if needs be. It also protects the walls slightly as well if i were to get any damp issues.

I hear good things about Zinsser mould resistant paint, it comes with a 5 year guarantee on the interior paint and a 15 year guarantee for the exterior version. The biggest thing you should be focused on though is the condensation that causes mould, upgrade your ventilation in the room and improve its insulation if possible.

Will take a look, thanks.

We don't have any problems at the moment, none that i have noticed anyway. It's just a precaution.

Did some testing today with Dulux Endurance and Dulux Bathroom. I prefer the bathroom for 2 reasons, it's cheaper and the shine it gives.

B&Q have 3 for 2 on Dulux at the moment! Will be buying a load today.

3 Coats required so far with the Dulux Bathroom. Will see in the morning whether it requires another.
Regardless of which, i love the finish on the paint, rolls really well being a little thicker and all.
