After a little outing Sunday before last I got a few stone chips on the front lower lip spoiler of my car.

Bumper and bonnet are spotless - just lower lip caught some chips.

I seperated it from the bumper & gave it to a local bodyshop guy, asked him to sand it, repair & paint & give me a bell when it's done. Didn't ask for a quote cos I was in a rush.

Anyway, it's ready to pick up and he wants £120. He assures me it's "factory quality".

Is that about right?

seems about right I had a rear quarter re painted and dent skimd cost me 350.

so that price seems fair :)

you dont really have a choice tbh if he'd charged £300 and you refused to pay off to small claims court you would be going lol but yea that price sounds about right as long as its decent quality

The bodyshop next door to where I work charges around the same money but that's sprayed in situ, they don't remove it for that kinda cash so be careful of overspray.

The guy really complained about me giving him the part because he said it's easier to rub down with it fixed in place, but it was already too late. Pleased I took it off now - didn't think about overspray.

Seems reasonable, I have got to do the same this summer where a previous owner has caught a curb or something similar.
