Epic prices from Palit, the 2070 crushes a 2060 Super and is the same price and is more than a match for the similar prices 5700 XT, the 2070 Super just dominates all with its 1080Ti beating performance for much less money. :)

Pending reviews i might be swayed by the 2070S... but only a 2 year warranty though!!!

There are more expensive cards with 3yr warranty, Palit being informed they should upgrade their warranty but any change in said won't happen overnight, take them months/years to make such a decision.

I've owned a JetStream before and it's a solid and silent card. Thinking hard about this but any deals on 2060S incoming?

Not really, the 2070 deal kind of renders 2060 Super useless as the 2070 is a much superior card, even if we got 2060 Super down to £329, you'd be mad not to grab the 2070 at £375 its way more powerful.

Yeah that's true. Good deals so far, watching with interest. Always bought from OcUK and will do again, holding on for now though just in case you pull a nice deal on a 5700XT!

5700 XT is in progress, Mech OC so far is best at £368.99, but am pushing for a much better deal on the reference blower 5700 XT's and trying to get Nitro and Devil down to £399 for Black Friday.

what about normal 5700's? anything coming on them?

We did the Mech OC 5700 at £299, but they have sold out, I am pushing MSI to support additional quantity to get the price back down and they are saying they will support it but later this month closer to actual Black Friday, we jumped the gun expecting stock to last but they sold properly quick. :)

Am also pushing for a 5700 MBA (blower) deal at an even lower price as well. :)

How does this compare to a 5700XT? Tempted but need reviews first. Still want a Nitro+ more unless this can surprise me.

Check the reviews but its typical as follows:

2070 SUPER: King in all games, ray tracing support. (£450)
5700 XT / 2070: Trade blows, AMD wins in console ports and NVIDIA wins in a lot of other titles, its a tough choice as both perform similar. (£350 - £400)
5700 / 2060 Super: Again they trade blows. (£300 - £350)
2060: Great performer, not ideal for ray tracing though. (£300)

The £300 - £450 space is a very bloody battlefield between AMD and NVIDIA, but all the above cards give incredible 1080P performance and are very capable at 1440P and both the 5700 XT and 2070 Super will run some 4k titles just fine too. :)

That made life easier, 5700XT or 2070 Super? I think £400-£450 is my absolute limit. Still holding my finger off that buy button but these deals are making it difficult not to jump in!

Well if it helps you!

My plan is to make a 5700 XT MBA (blower reference AMD card) £299 for BF, but it will be a cashback deal, so web price will be like £360 and then you claim the £60 back from manufacturer who will put into you bank account 30 days later.
I also plan to get Devil / Sapphire cards down to £399-£409 for a limited quantity on BF, so not a drastic saving over now, but its better than nothing.

2070S so far my best is now live which is £449 for the GameRock card and I will tell you now the Palit Jetstream and Palit Gamerock are on a par with an Asus Strix build quality wise so that kind of shows you the quality of those products.

As such if your thinking 2070 Super the Palit deals won't really be bettered by much, they are much better quality than say MSI Ventus or an Asus Dual, these GameRock and Jetstream cards are on a par with MSI Gaming, Asus Strix to give you an idea of how good the deal is. :)

But if your leaning towards AMD and do not mind an MBA card, then wait for BF as 5700 XT MBA at £299 after cashback is nothing but giving it away.

Thanks for the heads-up... heavily leaning now towards a 5700XT or 2070 Super.

Very tempted by either the GameRock or Jetstream models. I had a 1060 JetStream and build quality was fantastic, dead silent too.

Difficult decision ahead!

Yes Jetstream for me is one of the best cooler designs on market, they cool entire card so well and are one of the quietest too, they are a very good card, but because they do not have the marketing budget of the big brands they tend to go somewhat unnoticed.

Agreed and are underrated if you ask me, never had an issue with my 1060. On some occasions I had to check if the fans were working, never heard it!

We're all suckers for the bigger brands and tend to over look these hidden gems, I'm guilty of this too.

Need to use YouTube later me thinks as I don't believe the photos do it justice, the JetStream might be my next card!

It is easy to get blinded by marketing, LG OLED TV's and Samsung TV's prime example, but in fairness maybe a bad example as to my knowledge LG when it comes to OLED are no.1

But yes out of all 2070 Super, the Jetstream is easily the best buy, then GameRock and then the KFA2 Dual cards.

@Gibbo Will the 2070s Jet Stream fit in an Corsair ICue 220T case? Having trouble finding the GPU's measurements.

GPU clearance in case is 300mm.

Review on OCUK says "Very beefy cooler almost triple slot card. So BEWARE of your mobo and case specs when buying".

MOBO is MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX ATX AM4 Motherboard.

Palit Jetstream and Gamerock are three slot cooler cards, the coolers are huge, hence why they perform, cool and run so quiet. So you need a good size case.

@Gibbo, I have been looking at upgrading a R9 390 8GB to a 2060 Super.

just to make sure I have read this right, would the 2070 be a better choice to go to over the 2060S? (2070S is a bit out of my price range)

2070 is quite a jump performance wise over a 2060 Super, another way to put it 2070 is around 1080 performance, whereas 2060 Super will be around 1070 performance and 2070 Super performs around 1080Ti.

So in order:

1060 = 1660
1070 = 2060
1070Ti = 2060/2060 Super
1080 = 2070
1080Ti = 2070 Super

Maybe that helps somewhat. :)

2080 and above are now all ahead of Pascal series.

@Gibbo Before I bite the bullet and get the 2070 for £375 is there going to be any further deals on the 2070\2070S between now and black Friday?

On Palit, NO!

Will other brands potentially do deals, then yes but on 2070 all we have is the Palit at £375 and Zotac at £399, both won't be changing, we will be looking to bring in an Asus Dual EVO OC version which shall be around £409.99

On 2070S I am sure some other brands will do deals, will they improve much on £450, well I doubt it.

Is it possible to disable the rgb on these cards? I like the game rock and JetStream but hate the rgb on them

I believe it is yes as it was one of my recommendations when they showed me the early designs to make RGB ability to disable. I am sure an owner in graphics forum can confirm this.

@Gibbo is there any reason why the Jetstream has gone up to £469.99?

Yes nearly sold out and we’re still £30 cheaper than most competitors, price went up yesterday afternoon.

If you want one at £459 then I can drop price tomorrow 11:30-12:30 am to give you a one hour window to get one
