Ordered the blackops system which says it comes with a gigabyte card but it came with a palit 580 GTX, is there any point in me sending it back and getting the gigabyte one?

Really dont want to have to wait another friggin 2 weeks to play on my computer, Would you send it back?

Cant believe they send out the wrong stuff. =\

The Gigabyte is cheaper than the Palit but has a year longer on the warranty, 3 years compared to the Palit's 2 years. Up to you if you think it's worth the hassle of sending it back especially as they are all out of stock now.

Also my Prolimatech Megahalems seems to be a little bent out of shape, not really impressed to be honest, screws were rolling all over on the inside of the case no idea what they are from

The reference cards are all made in the same factory and simply branded with the different vendors logo. It is only when the non-reference cards hit the market that their is any real difference. At best some vendors will flash the bios with their own small overclock for marketing purposes but at the end of the day they are all the same cards.

Are these coolers normally bent?

Graphics card seems to be bent on the mobo and screwed into the wrong place on the back, not sure if this matters but cant be healthy for the mobo or the card.

Not sure if these will cause problems but want to make sure before i turn it on, spend £1500 on a PC wish they took a little more care.

They probably hadnt got any gigabytes in stock so subbed it with anotyher brand to save you waiting to recieve your system. Not really worth the hassle of sending it back really.

I think the way the GFX card is correct as it would be virtually impossible to screw it into the wrong backplate. Not sure about the cpu cooler tho.

Looks like it has been dropped or something during delivery. I would send it back to be checked over, speak to someone in customer care. This is not the first time I have seen bent megahalems on this forum a simple brace across the top would stiffen them enormously, but that is down to the designer and manufacturer.

I'd have to agree, seems like it was mishandled during delivery from the appearance. I always thought overclockers removed large air heatsinks when shipping?

The cooler would have been better kept in a separate box for transport. Due to the design of the megahelims, prolimatech ship them with a foam pad in the middle, and encase the entire cooler in foam to prevent the two sections of the cooler from bending/splaying.

Yeah cooler appears its be knocked, probably during transport. The last image makes the 570 look like it is in bent but I would be surprised it that's the case.

Would be looking to send this back.

Worth getting the Gigabyte 570 too, UK RMA and extra year warranty will be worth it.

580 hehe, apparently i would have to wait a lot longer if i wanted the gigabyte card and acording to the guy on the phone he said the warranty is exactly the same with gigabyte. Maybe hes making excuses who knows.

I just hope its here and ready before christmas but with even more snow due on thursday the roads will probably be covered again so its not looking good at the moment i'm wishing i didnt order the bleeding thing.
