Palit or Gigabyte?

Yeah, Palit Sonic should be fine. Not had first hand experience of Palit customer services/RMA tho. Good luck with it.

---------------------Message to Customer service--------------------- Hi i recently recieved my order which was damaged it so iv had to RMA it, the guy should be here to pick it up today i was wondering how long it would be untill i actually get my order sent out again and if you could send the Palit Sonic 580 GTX, Same price as the regular Palit 580. Or my initial gigabyte card that i ordered rather than a regular palit card. Thanks in advance.

Dear ********, The repair should be done within a couple of days. Due to the lack of stock we have of the 580's we usually put in whatever is in stock at the time. Regards, Rob Gould




The lack of infomation and options availble sucks, i would be willing to pay abit more for the palit sonic even though i shouldnt have too after all this hassle or wait for my gigabyte card to come in stock before they send out my new PC, he doesnt mention anything usefull in his half -arsed reply.

Hes telling all you need to know. It will be fixed within a few days and you will get whatever card is in stock. Have you tried phoning them and speaking personally to someone?
 
give them a call and ask what options are available to you. it's always easier for someone to 'fob' you off via an email. much more difficult to give you the bums rush when you are actually on the phone to them

not that i'm implying that OcUK are trying to fob you off, just i always think its best to speak to someone directly when you are trying to resolve a problem :-)

Yeah tried phoning they said they are the same with the same warranty, however there not the same i would have to post it to hong kong to RMA a palit card AFAIK and i think gigabyte is in the UK.

The reply was a load of naff they could have provided a lot more infomation, if they were going to send out any card they had in stock then when i made my order it should say ANY GTX 580 available not specifically say gigabyte, its like ordering Corsair dominator RAM and getting OCUK own brand.

Yeah if it's not sorted in my next email i'll give them another call see what can be done.

With regards to the warranty, as it came as part of a system i think youd have to RMA it back to the place of purchase
