I'm in the market for a new TV.. It will mostly be used for Sky, HD channels, watching dvd's and playing Xbox.

I have a budget of around £700 - £800 at most.. I've noticed people giving the TXP42X10b rave reviews, just wanted to know if the 50" is just as good or something I should steer clear of..

If not I'm thinking of going for the TX-P42G10.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply.. Appreciated.

However the main question I was hoping someone could answer was, is the 50" X10 as good a telly as the 42" version?

If so, I will go for that.. If not, I will probably, go for the 42" G10 instead.

I've never even gave LG a second thought before..... But after your recommendation and having a look at some of the reviews online, I think the 50PS3000 might be the TV to go for. I'm going to see if a certain department store will do a price match, so I get it for £689 with 5 yr warranty..

Cheers guys, much appreciated.

Never had a plasma before, what should I do or not do to avoid image retention?? Will this be for the first few weeks or will it be a problem throughout the life of the TV?
