Right, my department is doing a paper aeroplane competition and it's due in in the next hr or 2. Anyone know any links on how to make the BEST areoplane so i stand a good chance???

This is the best one I've ever built:

Doesn't need throwing hard at all, but goes for miles.

I have a childhood paper plane competition that's haunted me for 18 years

We had one at school once
A big event
I was quietly confident
Prizes and everything

My best friend, football captain, was panicking as he couldn't make one
As all good friends do, i made him one

On the day, he threw his further than me.
I was second
He got the glory

heh had an indoor comp when i was a shcool.

everyones was rather average, except my personal design that ive only seen me make. It was awesome.

Had to fly it indoors, and it went ALL the way across sports hall and hit the wall the other side (wich was something like 5 badminton courts wide)

Some other kid made the skinny missile type thing, and just lobbed it as had as he could, he hit the wall too after sliding halfway along the damn floor.

Dumbass science teacher goes, ok lets take this outside, it was drizzling + windy

i was right ****** off.

make one you can shoot from an elastic band :)

cant remember how to make them but it involves a pretty standard paper plane then cutting a slit in it for the band to go in.

not sure if thats allowed though :p

Came in to this thread to post this myself. Standard dart with a notch cut in to it. I've found this to be the best design after wasting tens of hours of free time an uni :p
