Hey gang :D

Lookin for some advice to clear the cobwebs formed in my head....

Im interested in Paragons backup software and trotted along to their website to buy it. I got there and came across this:

http://www.paragon-software.com/home/db-express/features.html

Thats right - they have a free version called Paragon BackUp Express.

Ok heres wheres I've lost the plot completely - it appears that Backup Express does everything I could ask for (see the features list by clicking above link). Do I really need the full payware 9.0 version?:

http://www.paragon-software.com/home/db-personal/

Is the primary difference only that the payware version can make an *image* backup whereas the freeware version can only make "ordinary" (non-image) backups? The features lists have me a bit confused...

Yea I know...probably a thick question :( but I really like their stuff and I wanna start backin up my precious Flight Sim 9 installation.

Thanks for any input ;)

Both Express and Personal do image based backups of the entire HDD or individual partitions, the difference between the two is probably in the recovery boot CD/DVD.
