yesterday, i got a yellow slip from parceline saying they tried to deliver my new phone and that they would re-deliver today, so, me cancels any plans i have for today and sits and bums about the house waiting for said parcel, nothing has come of yet, tried ringing them to check up, the number has constantly been busy.
Anyway, i've just 'out of curiousity looked for the website and realised i can track my parcel, to which i find...
26 Sep 2006 11:50 Newcastle 1 Unable to deliver, insufficent time available

needless to say i'm fuming as i've wasted a whole day waiting for it, the least they could have done is called or something

Parcelline? :O
lolol yeaaah story of parcel force, dhl, etc

One thing I do not do is cancel plans, they say its between 9-5 and we cant tell you anymore. In plain English it means if we are around that area today and our drivers can be bothered, maybe..just maybe you will recieve it.

I always collect from depo, especially with parcel force.

We get "Driver No Time" messages quite a lot in work.Of all the codes it seems to be the one that upsets and infuriates people the most.
Most people really have no idea how hard the majority of drivers work, apparently every now and then they send people out on a day with a driver making in excess of 70 drops to see what it's like from the "other side". Very interesting.

They didn't call you because they just don't have the time and resources to do so, as is the case with most couriers.

the point is though, they had decided that they hadn't enough time to deliver it at 11.50AM?

besides, got on the phone to them eventually, and complained and told them i weren't prepared to spend another day waiting for them, they said it will be here before midday - which usually costs £5+vat.

then they are unable to supply the service they took payment for?
maybe they should look at their business plan if they can't meet their obligations.

Because life isn't that simple, things go wrong, situations change too quickly to be instantly resolved.
