At the moment we have a 28inch (26) crt tv in our living room, its wayyy too small so i've been suggesting ro the folk's that we should get a hdtv when skyhd comes out (started saying this around november) they said ok we will see in march, today i went in the room woth a measuring tape and i decided that 37 inch is the ideal size, (32 is bit too small, 40 is a bit too big) then they said 'yeah 37inch looks about right' then i said 'shall we get one then?' mum says, 'why do i need one again?' (i've told her like a thousand times about it) when she saw a 50 inch plasma in dixons with the LG demo she came and found me in the shop to come and look, she thought it was great, and said, 'oh yeah we'll get one of them when it comes out'. Then my dad was like, 'why is this so great?, a better picture eh.....' I just hope in may/june they walk in dixons and straight into the world cup in hidef and then it will be 'i hate to say i told you so' and they will deny knowledge of ever turning me down. Parent really dont get it do they...
i think im gonna go download a clip of lord of the rings and connect the pc to my bros hdtv = tv buying i hope....

It's oh so easy to spend other peoples money. Perhaps your parents live in the real world where spending a large chunk of cash on something shiny maybe isn't as easy as it sounds.

If you're so desperate for a new TV, why don't you put your hand in your pocket?

because im 15? also my parents are generally the type to always get new technology when it come out and stuff. But their not buying hd for some reason. Also about the 'They live in the real world' comment, why would they agree to buy one in the first place, and then deny knowledge of seeing the hd in dixons

I don't think I am. You want your parents to buy a new TV, they don't want to at this time.
im just saying that parents contradict themselves so much, eg Our tv is really small... and Why do i need this?. Also 'WOW that picure looks great we should get one' and then 2 months later 'what is hd?' must be a memory thing :P

Your parents can contradict themselves all day every day if thay see fit ...Remember who pays the bill's .

Maybe ...Just maybe thay are doing that age old gag of having a laugh at your expence ... Thay might allready have a plan for a HD tv but are just playing with your head :D

OT.. I have the LG 37" HDTV and i love's it ;)

OMG have you not talked to your parents for the apst 15 years!?!? My rents are CONSTANTLY forgetting stuff, especially when it comes to technology. I have to re-explain stuff every other day to my parents and you know what, I don't give a **** about it.

Ease off the kid lads, i dont think hes complaing about not having the Tv for himself (or thats not his only beef) but the fact that his rents say "oh, lets get a new HD Tv" look into buying one, then forget all about it, repeatedly. i know my parents do this.
