Anyone done this, is it easy? Always wanted to do it so may book it for her bday in January?

2-3 nights probably, just wondering how it works! Do we get a train from where we are to the eurostar then on to paris, or do you drive to the eurostar and leave the car there? Havent a clue whats best tbh

Your choice.... Get a train to kings cross/St Pancras and jump on the Eurostar which whisks you to Paris.... Or... Get a car/train to Ashford international and jump on the Eurostar there.

Obviously you'll need to preboom and take your passport, otherwise just turn up half an hour or more before departure and go through security.

Unless you want to drive into London and pay stupid money to park, take the train to London and then change onto the Eurostar.

Book early to avoid steep prices.

If he's taking his Mrs to Paris for the weekend, I think he's pretty much guaranteed some boom boom! Preboom isn't necessary.

I took the girlfriend to Paris earlier this year, flights were incredibly cheap :)
Then you have to factor in time, cost of getting to/from the airports and any extra luggage costs.

Depends where OP lives. Eurostar is handy because you can take liquids as hand luggage and you arrive in the centre of Paris, rather than one of its ****** airports.

Yea im debating between train or plane! Thanks for info so far, im not far from bristol airport but only 1 flight a day (with easy jet anyway) and dont arrive til 9ish at night

Did it last year, it's dead easy. Get the train to London.

Have the New EuroStar Trains been put into Service Now ? The Old Stock is terrible from my last trip

Parking is actually relatively reasonable near kings cross. You could get three nights for 45. Whether that's good value really depends on where you're travelling from.

This is a must. Weekends are also expensive most of the time.

Usually there are deals which include local train to Eurostar.

Just wanted to give a heads up that Eurostar usually put on good deals in January....
