Bonjour,

Could anyone help me out with these simple questions, please?

1.
If I wanted to call a French land line with my UK based mobile phone, what numbers would I need to add or remove to make the call?
The number starts +3314XXXXXXXXX
I appreciate you're going to say use Google you lazy ...., but when I last went to Italy, and Googled the answer. I wasn't able to dial the Italian number at all, and had to use a fellow tourists phone to make the call. I'm on the Three network.

2.
I need to travel from CDG airport to my hotel via train and Metro.
The journey involves leaving CDG airport Terminal 3 (top right on the map linked below).
Changing trains at Notre Dome (approx centre of the map) and catching the Metro for a train bound for Boulogne Pont de St-Cloud (bottom left area of the map).
Link to map https://www.aparisguide.com/maps/metro.htm

I'd like to know can I purchase all the tickets at CDG airport, that includes return tickets?
Or would I need to buy 1 ticket from the airport to Notre dame, then by another ticket from Notre Dame to my hotel's stop?

Mucho Grassy Arse ;)

Any extra tips and tricks are welcome.

French numbers are in the following format if you're calling within the country:

06 64 34 87 91

Therefore, if you're calling from a UK phone or from outside the country, you remove the first 0 and add +33, so to dial the number above, you would dial +33664348791

You should be able to buy all tickets necessary at CDG.

Oh and if you tip at a restaurant, a couple of euros is enough. Don't do an English and tip 10-15%.

Depending on time of day, a taxi from CDG to Boulogne Port St. Cloud would probably go between €48 to €55, if there are 3 or 4 of you, it's worth a thought.
As for the advice re tipping, in French restaurants a 15% service charge is automatically added to your bill.
Servers do not customarily receive this a part of their wages, so if the service was really good, consider adding a little more, maybe 10%, or seek a restaurant with PRIX FIXÉ on the window menu.
That means there'll be a variety of menus, €20, €25, €30 or more, but the price displayed is the price you pay, so if two of you go for the €25 menu, the bill will be €50, and that's it.
