I'm just about to register with RingGo for cashless parking. I'm a bit of a luddite with this stuff so anyone know if these things work ok? Would save me standing at a ticket machine in the rain looking for change...

RingGo sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. I find it very unreliable TBH. I tried to use it last weekend and it just kept saying "An error occurred, try again later".

On the flip side, I've never had it fail with the exception of a single car park where I had very little mobile signal.

The biggest problem is ultimately ending up in a carpark that doesn't use RingGo.

I use it almost daily. RingGo mainly, bit also PayByPhone and Parkmobile. All work reliably for me.
Rarely bother with change in the car anymore.

Never had a problem with RingGo or Parkmobile. Birmingham uses Parkmobile in the city centre and it's pretty straightforward. The only downside is the convenience charge (usually 20p per transaction).

Make sure you disable the text updates as these are 20p a go as well. The in app notifications suffice.

Never had a problem with RingGo.

Simply tell it what machine you are parked near using the code on the machine and then enter your cars registration.

I think there is a 25p debit card fee tho.
