Unless there is something fundamentally wrong with your engine or your clutch control, this makes no difference at all

You will use more fuel manoeuvring in reverse when the engine is cold at the start of a journey, than when it's warm at the end.

Shopping: Drive in, so I can easily put things in the boot on my return.

Work: Reverse in, so I can just drive straight out and get home faster!!

Depends on whether I need the boot, where I am parking etc etc but generally as above

I can't imagine many people use this as a reason to reverse in.

9/10 times I reverse in, unless there's not much traffic and the space is so huge it doesn't really matter.

I prefer to reverse in, but 90% of the time I need access to my boot - so I tend to drive in. It's easier to park backwards, especially in multi storey carparks.
