Parking Eye PCN

Even if work weren't prepared to let it go, i'd drag it on for as long as it took for them to give up.

Also, if POPLA are just going to reject your appeal, then what the **** is the point of their existence in general?

Simple...

"We remind you that customers may only remain on site for a maximum of 1 hour at the time you parked there"

You drive in drive round for 30 mins looking for a good place to park. You park for the allowed 1hr and leave. the camera has you entering and leaving and charge on that. You agreed to the "PARKING CHARGE" terms based on being parked not based on the time you enterd and left the site.

Get them to provide proof you broke the 1 hour "parked" rule and not the entrance cameras time stamp as that is erelavant to prove you "parked" the charge is being based on exceeding parking time hence the parking charge. Not time onsite.

Gated systems are diffrentas they normally allow 20-30mins free from ticket issue for time to find a parking space or leave but this one they clearly state parked. Its a long shot but will tie them up longer. If they reply with 30mins is along time to find a spot then you used the 20-30mins example of gated systems as not being excessive time to find a parking spot.

As they have confirmed in the line I quoted at the top of my post. It is a parking charge not a onsite to long charge.

They tell you to take a break if you are tired, then fine you when you do. I really think something should be done about this at motorway service stations. It is not like you are gonna wander off shopping elsewhere or something.

I have had 2 in the past, 1 I binned the second I gave to my company to pay as they made me work the long hours.

I'd be inclined to get on pepipoo, they have more experienced folks for your situation. Particularly when it comes to company vehicles.

Well work are happy as they have been told to now directly correspond with me, so the company is no longer involved. What I meant is I couldn't ignore it completely.

Anything happen with this in the end?

I've just posted the below on Pepipoo, but my god what a bunch of money grabbing scum bags Parking Eye are...

I took my daughter to A&E the other week, the car park has got barrier machines, which used to rise up when you entered and you got a plastic chip which you then put in a machine on the way out and pay for the time you were in there. However on this occasion they appeared to be out of order or not operating, it was Saturday evening so it seemed reasonable that the parking restrictions were less harsh, the car park was empty and this hospital is hardly the place you dump your car and go shopping / drinking or whatever as it's in the middle of nowhere.

Still, i quickly checked and no one else had a ticket on the car windscreen either so it wasn't pay and display, though there was, what appeared to be, the same old chip machine by the entrance, reinforcing my assumption that charges weren't made at that time of day.

There were no obvious further instructions as to what to do, and with a small child in severe pain i wasn't going to spend time hunting around. Several other people in the waiting room also mentioned that they had no idea what the procedure for paying was either. We eventually got dealt with and i took my now extremely tired and traumatised daughter home having had her elbow joint manipulated back into place giving it no further thought just wanting to get her dosed up with Calpol and into bed

My partner then went back to A&E a few days later after our daughter re-injured the same arm, again she quickly tried to see what to do about parking charges but then went to get medical attention.

However on exiting, she tried to pay for the hour she had been in there, entered the registration, selected an hour and paid, only then realising on reading the ticket that she should have pre paid.

I've just received a letter from Parking Eye informing me i was caught by their system but they've let me off though next time they'll issue a Parking Charge Notice, so i'm now expecting a PCN regarding my partners visit while we are away on holiday.

Am i right to expect that PCN or will they actually see there was intent from my partner to pay and give some leeway?

I'm going to complain to the hospital anyway, what a ridiculous system that is, who knows how long to pre-pay when you go to A&E on a Saturday night? And what happens if you do get delayed and then have to top up, do you just leave your child in the waiting room while you go and pay again?

I got one of these last week from Parking Eye for my works van. We were parked outside an Aldi store where we were working for the day and they sent me a £70 fine.

There was nowhere else at all to park as the site was immediately off a dual carriageway and everyone else parked their vans on the same car park every day.

Safe to say this one will be going straight in the bin.

I'm sure if you spoke to the store management they will get it dropped for you.

I've had similar issues in the past when parking overnight on Homebase store car parks with a delivery for the store for the next morning, had a fair few notices, but every one withdrawn after speaking to the store management.
