Parking ticket, bin?

Forgot to put my parking permit on my car last night where I live and received a parking notice from UKPC. Can we still ignore these?

It does say on the back that they 'may' take you to court - but even then, where would they even get the figure of £50/£90, we don't pay for parking here!

File/bin and await numerous threatening reminders?
 
Some of these are now enforceable, so not as clear cut as it was. They also have an appeals procedure online, had you considered appealing on the basis you have a residents permit?
 
appleals procedure will just tell you your application for appeal has not been sucesful

Bin and dont look back
 
B for Bin and put a sign in your window saying "By placing any tickets on my car you agree to pay a £100 administration fee. Failure to pay may result in court action."
 
Ahh, UKPC.

They've been employed by the management of the flats where I live to enforce the "parking situation" (the situation being, nobody had any problems with the parking, and now we do because of the new rules) in the underground car park.

They slapped a parking ticket on my windscreen just 5 hours into the start of their contract (seriously....the ticket was dated about 5AM on the day their contract started) for failing to display a valid permit. Even though they hadn't issued me with a valid permit.

I phoned them up all ready for an argument but they ended up being fine and saying to contact the estate management, who duly got the ticket revoked.

It's still irritates me though. We used to be able to fit two cars in our parking space, without causing a problem to anyone, as did other residents. Now UKPC are "managing" the car park, it's actually much more inconvenient for anyone who has a second car, or visitors staying, etc.

Yet to date they have still not taken anyone to court for Binning/recycling/shredding an invoice because if they do and they lose the case will be one that puts them out of business overnight.

I have always shredded them(private companies) then put them in the recycling bin.
 
Just had my first "you have passed x days and now have to pay the full amount" letter - and of course threatening court action or passing my details onto a debt collector. The best part was that they got most of my name wrong. Needless to say it went into my shiny new shredder :D

Ring them and tell them that you have bought a shredder specifically for their litter and if they send you more that's where it will end up.

Stupid people, luckily ive not had any issues with them

I've had a couple of these in the past that I have totally ignored, one from MET parking who never even wasted time & money on a second letter, and another from UKPC who sent about 6 letters and made three phone calls to me before they eventually gave up.

Keep ignoring and enjoy costing the scammers more money! :)
 
Haven't heard from them for about a month now. Have received about 6-7 letters, each putting up the price and then reducing it. All have been shredded :). Sad thing is, I have spoken to friends and family about it and all have said they would pay immediately. No wonder these companies keep on going. Won't get a penny out of me though.
