Parmo in Glasgow?

Eat better food.

Such nasty people in this country...

Wow.... you seriously just judged someone based on a food item they like, of which you have seemingly never eaten? GD gets worse by the day it seems.

Back to Parmo.......The reason why I will never leave the north east. Unfortunately I am stuck with the lesser Durham parmo, which usually is smaller, thinner, a bit too crispy, lacking in bechamel and just generally a nasty replica. I would rather make the 36 mile round trip to Norton to the express pizzeria, who undoubtedly make the best parmo on Teesside, and with the best garlic sauce to top it off.

Also everyone I know calls it a Parmo....... Yes listed most places as as Parmesan, but everyone calls it Parmo for short. This includes people I know who are native to Stockton / Norton where I used to live.

You mustn't be north eastern enough. Definitely around here everyone says Parmesan and all the takeaway outlets have it listed as a Parmesan. :)

I literally couldn't be more north eastern! Any further north and I'm Scottish. Any further east and I'm speaking Dutch!

Sounds like you are more south then me then.

Sorry pal, everyone I know in the Boro calls them a parmo.

Dunno where you've been living.

lolwut? Where abouts do you live?

They are Parmos, end of.

I've never heard it called anything but a parmo either.

Roll up folks, battle of who is the most northern right ere! :D

In the metro sexual Tyne and Wear area (the area the southern softies associate as being the North East only) they may be called Parmos, but up here in Northumberland its Parmesan. End of. :)

Good grief, people eat that stuff

On another note, this sounds rather good, might have to give this a try.

Cooked rice, onion and garlic pressed into a teacup and inverted onto a soup plate, a lightly poached egg placed on top and a drizzle of any sauce around the plate. :)
