The deed is done and it's chugging along nicely

Unfortunately the Asrock K7S8XE doesn't have much in the way of overclocking options (or more specifically voltage options) but I've managed to squeeze a little more power out by changing the FSB from 133 to 166 and dropping the multiplier from 15 to 12 to give the same 2GHz chip speed (Thoroughbred XP2400+) but a little more bandwidth :cool:

SuperPi Times:
XP1900+ (133x12) . . . 1M = 1m23s . . . 2M = 3m00s
XP2400+ (133x15) . . . 1M = 1m08s . . . 2M = 2m30s
XP2400+ (166x12) . . . 1M = 1m03s . . . 2M = 2m18s

Plus the fact it's a T'Bred replacing a Palamino means lower voltage and thus less heat - nice

I may have a play tomorrow and up the multiplier a little - though the fact this is my dad's machine and I'm far away means I will probably end up putting it back to how it is now

hmmm i think there was a stats problem over the weekend sometime as I do recall seeing a zero for one of the updates on the team summary on EOC (no way that would be true)

More strange goings-on. If you have a look at my stats (clicky the sig) I dumped 5 points on the 12pm update. What the hell? 5 points? Nothing EUE'd, and I didnt have a 5 point wu.
