Looking to update ageing components in my desktop due to limitations with current games and also for upgrade to Windows 11.
Parts I want to upgrade are CPU, cooler, motherboard & RAM. (I hope to be able to use the new parts for a long time, up to 8 years, before I need to upgrade again)
Plan to reuse GPU, PSU, storage, case and case fans. (would plan to update GPU in 1-2 years time (sticking with Nvidia) and probably PSU if required)
I had looked at the following on UK PC part picker but would like advice and suggestions to increase value for money, compatibility or spec for gaming:
AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7 GHz 8-Core Processor
Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE WHITE ARGB 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler
Gigabyte X870 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 ICE ATX AM5 Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 Memory
Purchase Timeframe:
A week, looking to capitalise on any black Friday deals.
Budget:
£600-£900
Usage:
Gaming 1440p
Preferences:
AMD processor (considering 9800X3d) (understand AMD is now the preferred over Intel)
White and RGB would be nice but not if its coming at a large additional cost.
Current Hardware:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00GHz 4.00 GHz
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 5
RAM: Corsair CMY16GX3M2A1600C9R Vengeance Pro 16.0 GB (2x 8GB) DDR3 1600mhz CL9 XMP

PSU: Corsair CP-9020187-UK 750W RM750x
Case: Fractal Design Meshify C Compact Mid Tower
Case fans: 3x Corsair LL120 LL series, 120mm Dual light
Peripherals:
Not required
Special Needs/Requirements (inc Wi-Fi):
Wifi would be a nice extra but not mandatory
