Hey all,

I got my new 160gb HD today, havnt installed it yet but I wanted to see if anyone could help on this one.

Im using my 80gb HD as my main HD where Vista is installed.
The new 160gb would store all my games + music etc.

I want to make a partion so I can install XP on it the 80gb hd and use dual boot so I can choose vista/xp... how can I do this?

I really dont wanna format my Vista HD as ive got lots of stuff on there atm.

Cheers.

or use partition manager. I would format and have my main OS on the new hd, But thats just me..

well, ive got FSX - with addons - that could easily be up to 20/30 gb.. =/ STALKERs around 10, isn't it?

Can I use some type of software to create a partion through windows?

bah tried Partion Magic but apparantly it doesnt work in Vista.. created a 5gig partion but on reboot I had a BSOD and some weird error on loading vista..

wuhh okay i used my recovery disks on my new 160gb with my vista 80gb UNPLUGGED but after it'd restarted it loaded up....

BSOD with the "windows cannot start blah blah it risks damaging your computer"... is this cause the jumper settings are on 'cable select'?

Also, when vista was booting up, before the logon screen, i got a Something cann't find 'xmt2002' etcetc... any ideas why this came up? first came when I tried to create a partion using partitionmagic.

Thanks
