Partition/Dual Boot on SSD

Hi all,

I'm planning on dual booting a Samsung 830 256gb. A friend of mine said partitioning an SSD can be bad for it but wasn't 100% sure can you guys tell me if this is the case or should I be fine?

i cant see how partitioning would affect it?

It could possibly cause uneven wear if one partition is used more than the other. No evidence for this, just a quick thought.

Thanks for the replies! No i couldn't understand how it could effect the lifetime of the drive either just wanted to check. It's probably some myth someone once wrote somewhere he has read

Yeah, this is the only possible reason I can think off the top of my head.
