After ive just done a re-installed off xp my HDD looks like this. What I want it is divided into 20, 60, 155GB. As you can see in to picture E and F are a different colour, no idea why. All I want to do is to extend the F into the unallocated space. But when I right click win doesnt let my delete the F partition.

Any idea guys?

The problem is E: and F: are contained inside a logical partition (the green thing) rather than being individual primary partitions.

So either way you will need "proper partition manager software" to put the unallocated space inside the logical partition, or to convert from logical to primary (could be risky..)

If you've got an external HD drive I would just backup the folders from E: and F: onto there then wipe the logical partition and make two new primary partitions :)

Ive not got anything on drives E and F, all my data is on another HDD at present. So I take it from what you said right click E/F and the option I have is too delete logical drive. Is that the option you mean?

If there's no data on E: and F: then delete both and re-create E: F: to the sizes you want but make sure you choose Primary Partition for each partition.
