Partition software that works under vista?

Just had a new HP machine arrive and i need to shrink the existing partition to create a blank partition for recording video onto.

Turns out Partion Magic isn't compatable with Vista, so what do i need to look for?

(last vista machine i bough gave me the option to set my own partition sizes but this one didn't

)

You should be able to shrink the partition using windows itself using the disk manager (make sure you defrag first). It has to be the only partition on the disk but I rememebr that it worked for me !

Gah, windows partitioning software won't let me shrink the C drive to below 70 gig. Bum, time to try an aftermarket jobbie.

No need to take the extra time and press the r

windows key and type diskmgmt.msc is all u need

a note here, partition magic does work with vista. put it in compatability mode and it runs fine and all the stuff works the same.
