Hey, is there anyway to create a second partition on my c: drive that already has vista installed on it.?

want to give windows 7 a go without formatting the whole drive and installing windows 7 and vista again....

Many thanks :)

You'll need a program for partition splitting, but backup your data beforehand - I tried to use paragon partitioner for the same purpose, I left it to partition, when it came back it was in a reboot loop because NTFS.sys was missing :( cue 1hr in recovery console and it was back up again.

Well the shrink volume utility worked great, got W7 now installed,

but i cant seem to be able to boot from it.?

i have a 320gig sammy xp -default drive to start up

320 - (200vista - 120W7)

and in boot menu i can only boot to vista or xp...

it only sees the 2 drives

anyone help.? :)

Need to install an appropriate boot loader. I can't do that under windows, too frustrating trying to. You could install grub4dos though, which is very likely to sort the entire mess out without any configuration. If configuration is needed, it's a lot easier with grub than with Microsoft's efforts, unless windows 7 has radically broken tradition.
