You can partition an array no problem, the OS doesn't know that it's made up of multiple disks. However, if you already have a partition which fills the entire array things are a touch more complex, you'll need to use Partition Magic or the like to shrink the existing partition to free up some space to create a new partition for Vista.

ahh cool thx i get ya, so how much do u reckon i should save for a vista install??

the array is made of 2 150g raptors and i have 221g left out of 279g atm

maybe keep 100g for the vista install??? ( i have a external hdd for saving everything so its just for prog files and games)
