Lol know the feeling as like yourself i have a 970 in my main pc too.
The 1060 is in my htpc and it does a great job, i was impressed with the rx470 before it as it was £90 cheaper, but i had to mod it to fit into the case.
But... I wish i bought the 1070 mini instead of all this faffing around.
I'll wait for vega.

I'll under-volt it, more fun stuff
I'm not keeping it tho, certainly i would take the 970 over it but the 1070 is still calling me, i'm getting restless, thats the problem.
Restless is why many of us changed i think
1070 has made my pc quieter then my 780 90% of what i play atm (mmo's) fans dont even spin

On that I agree. Except with ESO, on all other MMOs the top of the range graphic cards get bored and snoring all the time.
