Passed DAS, seeing ZX6R tomorrow. Nuts?

My first bike was a Honda Superdream. It could just about manage 70 going downhill! I'd have killed for a 600cc bike, but I was limited at the time to 33bhp (and only had a few hundred as a budget).

I know a few people who bought CBR600F's after passing DAS and they all got on fine. I think the 600 class is fine for new riders. But as others have said, no matter what you get, please take it easy at first :)

Thanks guys. I feel much better about the bike now. I will definitely be taking it very very easy. Thanks again.

Now I have a new issue. I arranged insurance quote via MCE. However I've just seen the other post about them and that has put me right off!

BAH! Didn't get to go. Work got in the way. I did manage to buy some motorcycle trousers this AM though so at least now i i have all the clothing I need.

You can stuff it up whatever bike you get, so just take it easy and learn the bike's characteristics gradually.
Taking a tight roundabout in 2nd gear, heavy lean and too much roll-on can lowside any bike. Doesn't matter if it's a 125 or a 1250.

Work on getting a real feel for the throttle and revs, clutch control, lean angles and general behaviour, as well as your own limits.
