Wow that is exceptional, great job! Especially for a 2nd attempt.
As others have said though, you'll notice a big difference driving on your own for the first few weeks/months. You actually go back to "learning" again. Enjoy driving!
Strangely enough I feel a lot more confident when driving on my own without my instructor or mum telling me / watching my every move. I haven't had a go on the big motorways or anything yet, or gone long distance, but around the towns here I feel safer on my own. Possibly because I haven't got my teachers double checking everything I do is safe all the time leaving me forced to do it.
The car is sound as a pound. Was driving around in it from about 12-9 last night and used under £10 of petrol, almost runs on air The only problem is that the mudflaps seem to be catching on the wheels. I thought I had a flat tyre but I think the mudflap must have caught on the wheel and was bent up the tyre rubbing on it - going to have to try sort it out. Also I went in the car wash with a wax and ended up totally blind as all the windows had smudged
But yeah, I don't fancy driving like a tail end. For one I can't afford crashing, repairing my car, or replacing my or someone elses life
Already sorted lifts to and from college, £1 a pop, 4 in the car each should be a tidy sum over a week
