Hey! I hope that wasnt a sexist comment about the ability of girl drivers? ;)

Imagine what your friends would say when you get whipped by a girl! :D

You would have a long way to drive to give me any hassle :p

Ive only had a lesson once a week, and my instructor was on holiday for another few weeks :(
ahh, that explains it, some weeks i had 6 hours worth, some i had 4 :o
Better say congrats as well, nearly forgot ;) :p

Thanks :D
I'm feeling *reasonably* confident.. just i suck at parallel parking, so i've got 7 weeks to perfect that :p

I perfected it in a few hours

Find a road where not many people drive, Use some sticks/cones for markers(less stressfull then cars)

Then try park between them over and over again and once your good enough bring the sticks in closer :)

My instructor's got me to drive to "quiet" places, no cars coming along, and when i'm doing a maneouvre, 5 cars come along, then when i'm finished, nothing. Every bloody time :p

Do it on your own(with your parents in your car of course) to learn.
And then you will be all good and you can do the test :)
And remember, those cars have to wait for you :p :D

Two things:

1) I dont have a car :p
2) My parents' car is a VW Passat, slightly larger than the corsa i'm learning in.. but then again, practice makes perfect.. right :)

Right :)
If you learn to park the Passat you will walk though the test and parking a matchbox of a corsa :)
It will make the corsa feel so easy to park and will make you more confident because you have managed to park a larger car :)

Parralell parking for dummies:

Drive really close to the car you are parking behind about 2" between the wing mirrors. Put your back wheels in line with his rear bumper. Turn the wheel one full turn to the left. Now, when the kerb disappears in your left wing mirror go hard over right. Perfect results every time.

Careful you don't smash his rear with your bumper the first few times though incase your car is longer/shorter than mine.
