Passport neck wallets?

Again...Thats fine...But passport?

To be fair its not a major issue if cards get stolen or lost...Carrying large amounts of cash is silly.

I either leave it in the safe of the hotel (if I'm staying in a hotel), or leave it at a friend's house. If I have to have it on me, I either have it in a pocket or in my bag.

:D Careful what you wish for, he seems turnable to me.

I'm not saying it's not wise to be cautious - but carrying around lots of cash whether abroad or not, is not really that sensible, and just being a little streetwise is also a good idea. :) I think being excessively paranoid doesn't add to a pleasurable break, or business trip. I guess I'm fairly carefree in that respect. :)

All jeans are tight on freefaller and would you pick pocket him?

I have been pick pocketed once, in Paris on the metro, rushing to a meeting on a very busy train and the guy very cleverly pushed me on my left side, irritating me and causing me to focus my attention there while his hand on the other side went in to my suit trouser pocket, all timed so that the train was pulling into the station and he could step out, doors closed before I even realised. Genuinely impressive operation.

That said I think all this travel paranoia is bizarre, I am travelling at least a quarter of the time and have never felt the need for anything other than pockets/briefcase. If you did lose a passport yes, it's a hassle, but you are not then struck off the Brit list and turned into a johnnie foreigner or something.

sums up my thoughts perfectly. :)

When I went to Thailand, I got a "discrete" waterproof belt effort thingy (for about a tenner) that went under my trousers. I slung it about an inch and a half below my waistline. No-one wants to go that far into my pants :D I kept my passport (or a copy of it if I had a safe available), cash (UK and foreign) plus a credit card in there. There was multiple compartments which helped me to get the right thing without having to stare down into my pants in the middle of a shop like a **** :D

Just keep things in different zip pockets / bags and, if you really are carrying everything, keep a bit of cash in your shoe.

I'm off to France for a week later this month so I just ordered my passport neck wallet. Can't trust these foreign types (or Ryanair passengers) ;)
