I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the speed of turnaround of the online service recently. Had new passports in around 2 weeks. I’m not sure I’d risk your turnaround time though! Saying that, it’s not popular holiday time so you probably stand a better chance of getting it on time.

Is there any indication if price will go up/down when it is revised post brexit ?

but nonetheless, they remain controversially expensive, they had dropped price a while back, acknowledging automation
