Can I remove them?

I have a load of local PCs and a windows home server.

I am sick of password issues trying to connect things locally. I have just installed OpenELEC on a HTPC and I am having trouble connecting to my WHS based server.

Ideally I would just like to remove all requirements for user accounts for sharing files across my local network. Is that possible?

No it's not possible

However, just setup the same username and password on all your PC's and a matching account on your server.

I think so.

For some reason on my WHS I have two accounts.

1)spud - only shows up in users section of control panel
2)spudbynight - only shows up in users section of dashboard

If I try and create an account on either the dashboard or the control panel with the name missing it says it already exists.

Homegroups are a complete crock of fail.

I have a shared folder on my WHS server (in my homegroup) and I have having trouble granting full access rights to other computers (either on the homegroup or not)

Just give the "everyone" group full read/write ntfs permissions on the folder and the same for the sharing permissions.

I'd advise against that mind :)
