'Pastel switch'

That build looks ******* sick, and dat blue coolant is just sexy as hell!!!

:D Thank you

There's quite a few fractal define builds on here now. I see that your rad clears th cpu block by some way, the mb looks like its set lower. My r3 build hit a bit of stickler on that. Pastel blue looks pretty cool too. Nice build.

Yeah there's a good 25mm left before rad get near mobo and that rad is 62mm thick as it is.

Thanks. :)

I see you opted for the switch 810, good shout my friend. I love the case. The build looks mint mate, and that pastel looks sooooo cool. Ive been looking at pastel red and pastel white and change my loop to a duel loop. CPU and My Sli bridge seperate. Going to cost another £250 for the res and pump, coolant and and a new rad (as i dont think my 240 will do it).

Anyways top build matey.

Yeah i chose this case as it was popular and the previous cm cosmos 2 was far to big externally.

Thank you :)

Tight fit on the gt extreme rad, sat on top of the fans. Tubing all fitted. You can also see top rad.

Massive noob question here so don't laugh ! I've noticed something when looking at peoples water cooled setups. In your above pic, what is the direction of water flow ? Whichever way I look at it, it seems that either hot water from the CPU is being fed to the GFX card blocks or visa versa if the flow is the other way ? I find this confusing. Is it not better to have seperate loops for CPU and GFX so that both are always fed by cool water ?

Thanks.

No just a single loop here, starts at res/pump on front of PC down to first rad, then up through the two gpu's then into the CPU, then up into the top rad and back to the res/pump.

Temps are all good, and only one pump instead of two. No real need for dual loop in my opinion, this is just as good. saying that, in my next build it probably will be a dual loop, just 'because i can' :D

as far as i know in a wc setup the direction of flow doesnt have a massive effect on temps as the water flows so quickly.

very nice setup though rich, i often find builds with a generally blue theme dont look so good but yours is bang on!

Hi very nice build :D, i was wondering how long is your PSU? As im looking to do a similar setup in my NZXT 810, same as urs? but with RX360 on top and RX240 on bottom and a Seasonic Platinum 1000W PSU or 860W, whatever i can get my hands on which are both 190mm long :D

SORRY

Just had a quick read online and found its 180mm.... Any chance of me getting a 190mm PSU with RX240 Rad in the bottom ??

Yeah it's 180mm, but i have a 280 rad in the bottom which is 316mm long, so if you get a RX240 in there, they are 286mm, so may well just fit.

Thanks :)
One word sums this up Beautiful :D

Thanks a lot :D

Good PSU. :) But i think maybe overkill for what i really have.

Does yours ever get loud, mine does rarely when gaming. i know as it's the only fan that's automatic in my system. Not loud as such, but you can just hear it when it's working.

It's mostly very quiet. It does get a bit louder as you said when gaming but I barely even notice it. I have so many other fans running it's hard to hear any change in fan speed :s

With two overvolted GTX480's I thought my power draw would be something horrific so I went for the 1000W. Surprisingly I'm hovering around 650w while playing BF3.

Glad I bought it anyway :)

That was my thinking too, i need to see how much i'm drawing when i'm gaming too.

Liking that well done, EK have got some really nice WC kit out at the mo :)

Thanks, and yeah they do have some good gear out. :)
