Greggs Veg Pasty........om nom nom nom

Home-made ones rock too. Steak, Kidney, Beans and Pepper are the dogs cahonas!!

I miss pasties so much!!!
I like the steak ones from Oggy Oggy most I think, the ones from the Gorge in Plymouth were good although peppery (well at least they were about 10 years ago, is the Gorge still on Royal Parade?), Ivor Dewdney is good too :)

never used to like them as a kid, lumpy potato, massive fleshy bits of onion, but nowI do like the occasional pasty, it's comforting and filling.

saying that, i've not had one in years :p

Just make them yourself, ready rolled shop bought pasty and it's so simple.
I have actually made them myself a few times :)
I have to make the pastry myself as the only ready made pastry I can find over here is puff pastry and that's not really ideal for a traditional Cornish :)

The Mrs makes a very good pasty, but second to that they tend to get better the further west you go.

Yeah, they tend to eat pasties in the East before they're fully cooked and even if they are cooked, you tend to get food-poisoning off them anyway. The pasties aren't good quality either, but they sell as premium range products which has always confused me.

Am I the only one who's not that into Pasty?

They're not that easy to eat what with all that mince and onion oozing out and any other traditional fillings, and sometimes you get a mouth full of pastry before you get to the good stuff. They're also usually too hot to hold and eat for a while, and I like to knaw away at a fast pace. I could use a knife and fork, but that'd be too much fuss.

So no, I prefer a Sausage Roll these days. Better shape, quick to eat and you can catch any oozing goodness.
