I am trying to add an additional WAP to the office where i work. Currently there is a wireless router that goes in to a filter and then in to a floor port. It comes out in to the server room and goes in to an analog line. There is also a fax machine plugged in to the ADSL filter.

If it was not for the fax machine I would just move the main router in to the server room and then put another WAP in the office. But due to the fax machine and lack of any more ports on the floor i am not sure what to do.

Can anyone think of any way to add an additional WAP with this set up?

buy one and plug it into the network and configure it?

As above, you can buy an AP and then plug it in to a port on a switch or router (depending what the existing network set up is) and it should get an IP via DHCP and be good to go (All you need to do is secure/edit the SSID)

The adsl and the fax share the same line so i have been trying to get a bt phone socket to rj45 cable but ******s does not have one. They only have the other way around. I was trying to connect a network cable in to a bt phone socket on a ADSL filter phone port for the fax machine. But I can't find the correct cable.

They do exist, the RJ45 To BT 431A Plug.
