Patrick Viera ban

I can't believe that Viera has got a 2 match ban for saying "you have no personality" to the ref. At first D'Urso said he used foul and abusive language, then the FA changed it down using insulting language. In any match you need 2 hands to count the amount of players you see shouting swear word at the ref/linesmen so why does Viera have to get punished for even less than that?

its No substitutes for the 'f' word please, don't wanna lose any of ya for a week out of order why must be picked on again, i was watching that jimmy hill program on sky sports and even those guys (except 1 little idiot) who thought it was out of order, 1 guy even thought the dumb *** ref should be suspended not veira.

Im so ******* annoyed viera has to miss 2 important matches and arsenal are not getting results as it is and this is making it worse. I honestly think most people at the FA have to be replaced all these bad decisions r a joke and r ruining the game

Simple answer really and you cant deny this, higher profile players tend to get booked more then the unknown players in the same teams. Simply because the ref feels "better" of "bigger" than these superstars that are playing around them.

I went to the Man U game on Saturday and Beckham got booked for a ridiculous challenge really only warrented a warning. But Villa player Gough (I think thats right, really tall guy) flew in a few times once, with an identical challenge to what Beckham did and nothing was done.

Bergkamp was wrong and deserves what he gets, probably a 12 match ban knowing how we are picked upon.

even if not for this offence the amount of times he is seen swearing at the ref etc he shouldnt even be playing football on any field of play

o-0 i see u manyooo fans still have "selective vision" so keane trys hurt players seriously on purpose but viera says the ref has no personality and that makes him worse, u really should think b4 u post as ur post makes u look stupid

wasnt this the same ref keano and his utd buddies harassed at old trafford a couple seasons back i dont remember anything but an apology from utd back then funny they can get off so easy hmmmmm

In my eyes viera is a far dirtier player than keane in the main he has been sent off almost as many times as keane in about half the time keane has been playing in England.

Both players had been trying to clean up there act but at the moment neither has appeared to do so.

Everyone bashes keane on these forums but a couple of seasons ago he managed to go the whole season and only recieved about 1 yellow card I dont think viera has manged a month without a card.

I personally think that neither player should still be gracing a football field as they are both as dirty as each other.

And yes I am a Man Utd fan and let me guess yer a Arsenal one

It is a bit ridiculous getting banned for something stupid, as someone said above the ref should get banned for being a clown and not viera.

Also I dont think the 2 players should be made to clean up their act, thats the way they like to be, so why try to change them.

Well I think keane and viera are both awsome players and hope they stay around for a long time, and continue to entertain

Vieira 7 red cards in 290 appearances


oh interesting fact

keane has only had 52 Yellow Cards in his 517 appearances

Vieira has had 76 in his 290 appearances.

I dont agree at all viera doesnt go out to hurt people but he does go in strong for tackles and when they miss they look bad. Same goes fo keane but he took out haaland wat makes u think he hasnt done it to anyone else. Viera is picked on by refs and this D'urso incident has outlined it.

I think they should play they always go for the ball and usually win it, they go in strongly and even when the advantage is with the other play they win the ball. When the time comes to attack they r up there attacking, when its time to defend they r protecting the defence. They r like the "engines" of their respective teams who drive the team forward and get them organised without them both teams look noticably incomplete.

And yes i am an arsenal fan, i didnt take offense to ur "saint" comments only about how he deserves it over such a little incident

no ur still wrong, keanes record isnt exactly something to be proud of either is it. Viera gets picked on over and over again and gets bookings for things others would be let off on the same goes for keane (when they r not at old trafford of course )

I agree that viera's record is worse but makes keane look like a saint i dont think so. Also could u provide a link to where u got ur facts? thanks.
