"Patties" in Glasgow

OK so I come from the North East of England where the local chippy stocks a type of fritter with potato and fish in it, we call it a pattie, but I understand that's not the right name for it.

So now I find myself lving in Glasgow and nowhere seems to sell my favourite fish based batterball. Help!

It's not a fish cake as I know it, fish cakes are usually all mushed up and breaded rather than battered, this pattie is layers of fish and potato rather than a mush of the two.

was it just from one chippie? if so probably just home made.
Ready made fish cakes are usually breaded, where chippie home mad ones are battered. Or that's what I've found. Usually both are disgusting from 99% of chippies.

Make it yourself and shallow fry.

It's a yorkshire fishcake. The breaded ones are rissoles.

This is in almost every Chippy I've been to in the Teesside area it's not just one... They are great too.

And lol I have yet to try a Pizza crunch, might do tonight

how much are they and how big are they? what fish do they tend to use in them? curious regional chipshop differences always interest me.
