Pay-at-pump + Amex - says it's accepted but never is?

I don't give a ****, frankly. 99% of the time if it's a big company that doesn't take Amex I won't shop their again.

I use my AMEX for everything so if I encounter somewhere that doesn't accept it I will not use them in future. Luckily I have very rarely been refused, even in strange pubs and whatnot.
