why not just those who want to be? I don't think ownership should be forced on people. Nor do I think something someone else owns should be forcibly distributed among others.
I mean people can chose to join a cooperative or to buy shares in a public company or join a public company they know is going to grant them share options or restricted stock or likewise join a startup and get a % of the equity... or set up a company themselves or with partners... or become self employed
plenty of options out there if people want ownership or a share of ownership
