I'm pretty sure a similar thing happened on a previous update.

It's duplicating files or something weird like that.

Do you happen to keep downloading extremely large files when receiving very small sized patches for games on Steam at all?

There is definitely something wrong with the file size. Mine is 19.4GB which is ludicrous given the lack of content, no pre-rendered cutscenes and low graphical fidelity. I'm going to reinstall it now and see what the folder size is afterwards, will update this post soon.

EDIT: Atleast I would if it wasnt stuck on 94.3MB with 0bytes per second download speeds...

Restarting Steam lets me get about 30-40MB before it drops to 0bytes again, and people say Origin is bad...

mine is 18.7GB (20,184,196,311 bytes) as a comparison, so 700mb difference, which is a bit odd in itself i guess.

Of course my 460 GTX plays the game on all high settings well.

My old PC (with a 4830) ran it fine so yeah xD

Anyone elses game really dark?

Just installed it, fresh install of Win 7, 27" monitor and ATi HD whatever card.

For some reason it's really dark, nightclub map is impossible to tell friend from foe almost!!

Is this a known problem (yes, monitor and game brightness turned right up)

Hey there!

Question, is your character blacked out on the main menu and in lobby? Or is the game just dark?

Possible Solutions:

My old PC had the same issue. If you go on CCC ("Catalyst Control Center") and change the Anti-Aliasing levels and what not, whilst in-game, you'll be able to get rid of the dark bits.

Seems dumb but try turning up the brightness on the settings of PAYDAY 2.

I had that happen too, I just kept fiddling with the CCC settings until it stopped

Ok im kinda bummed that I only just figured out that both the safehouse and the offshore account are pointless. They literally serve no purpose.

i was looking forward to building a criminal bunker.

Future updates will make give a use to the safe house and offshore account.
