Paypal and Reviewing payments

hey all

Anyone had this issue recently?

Over the past month i have been stuck at home with my broken back thus i have ramped up my phone repairs a lot until i get back to work.

This in turn increases the money traveling through my Paypal account, normally the In/outgoings on Paypal per month is around £800, but so far this month its been £1980.
Since breaching the £1500 point Each and every incoming and outgoing payment goes under review which lasts 24 hours...

Now normally i wouldn't mind this delay but being stuck inside i have to order all my parts via Ebay with next day delivery, due to this issue my items are delayed by a few days and thus i loose customers.

Today i purchased 20 iPhone screens to stop myself running dry on stock and yet again payment is under review! This means i wont get getting them until next week as they cannot be posted till tomorrow. This will cause a 3-5 day delay for my customers that expected same day service :(

Very annoyed as Paypal keeps telling me my account is not under review and i have a £5k limit on my account.. They say the reviews are random but can see that in my case they are less than random. But cannot do anything about it.

Does anyone else have an issue with Paypal putting payments under review?

paypals a joke plain and simple tbh, i've had many issues in the past. My most irritateing one to date is:

I bought two hand made carbon fiber rings from an american handmade site 'etsy' and paid 500squids to get them. When they finnaly came (in 3months!!!!) they were cheap plastic fashion jewllery. So i got onto paypal saying that i had been ripped off and wanted my money back. Normmaly there pretty good with this, but this time as the listing had 'custom' in the title there was nothing they could do :\ I asked why they said if you buy somthing custom made its all to easy not to like it and that if somthings custom made for me then they cant resell it. I guess it kinda makes sence but when i shown them the item picture a black stunningly made carbon fiber ring and then when i got a cheapo plastic silver ring with a plastic gem in they still said there was nothing they could do. It took me 4 days and a letter from a solicitor friend of mine to actually get my money back. And they still let the con artist keep the payment too :|

When i asked why the whole thing was such an ordeal when it could have been so easy paypal said were a bussiness at the end of the day and we have to make money...... Complte ***** and i no longer use them at all. If a site wont take any other form of payment then they dont get my pennies.

^^ Wow my life story :O

maybe its because "We're also obliged to comply with EU anti-money laundering and Know-Your-Customer regulations, which require us to place a receiving limit of £1,900 on PayPal accounts."

?

I've got this problem atm with a refund I received, the seller decided to send me the payment instead of click refund and now it's under review -.- Mind you this is the first time it has happened

I changed my PW to make it more secure on paypal and they locked my account asking for me to send a drivers license and a utility bill before i can use it again....

Naturally I didn't do this i just created a new account with a different email address on a new card.

I don't use it much anymore but that really annoyed me.

I had this problem for the first time this week. Made the payment and then it was put on hold for 24 hours. Bit of a pain as it was collect only item and I was working near by the day I wanted to collect but the delay ment I had to make a special trip the following day. I've had a similar problem when a seller had to claim the payment because of email mismatch but this time the seller could see I had tried to make the payment but couldn't access it.

Have you had to send over any identity information to Paypal (e.g. passports, proof of address etc)?
