I want to make a payment from my PayPal account to my personal current account. How long does it take for the payment to clear so I can draw on those funds?

About that, man I was bidding on something and at the last bid I was doing the page would not respond...almost cried!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got it though, phew!

What’s best? Bank account funding or credit card (debit card). I can’t see the difference as there the same :s

Only difference is I have to enter my sort code etc, if I set up bank funding and enter my debit card number and info if I set up a credit card funding.

I tried bank account funding but PayPal haven’t deposited any money in my account yet and it’s been 5 days :(.

Always credit card...then you're covered by your CC company.

only in relation to the transaction between your CC and PP not for the one between PP and the seller ( though sometimes the CC companies will help )

so never choose bank funding?

Paypal want you to use Direct Debits as its cheaper for them, and they say you're covered by Paypals "buyer/seller protection", which is a joke.

So always use CCs to pay for stuff via PayPal, means if PayPals protection won't cover a fraudulent transaction, your CC will.

see my above comment, this is a common misconception

AFAIK if the transaction turns out to be fraud and PayPal won't refund you, some CC companies will see the transaction between the CC and PayPal as fraudulent also.

they often will but this is not something that they have to do as legally there are 2 entirely seperate transcations involved

Indeed, so it's better to use your CC where you may have protection rather than DD where you have none.

When i want to add funds to my paypal account its only has this option

Transfer Funds From a Bank Account in the United Kingdom

Im getting a little confused

I thought the way it worked was you add funds from your bank account or card into paypal, then from paypal you buy/sell etc. This means your bank and card details are kept safe from the people you are paying, selling to?

You transfer money from your Bank Account to PayPal using that option, then when you send money using PayPal the transaction goes your PayPal account -> their Account. You've answered your own question in your own post.

So:

Bank #1 -> PayPal #1 -> PayPal #2 -> Bank #2
