What is it with PayPal and randomly wanting to perform "security checks" on withdrawals?

What a pile of utter retardation.

Seriously though, they get a request to withdraw funds to the same account I've been withdrawing to for over 6 years, while using the same IP address I've been using for 3 years, and they still do random pointless "security checks"?

So unreliable; either you get your funds within 2 hours, or you get your funds within 26 hours based on no valid reason whatsoever.

Ok, so suppose my account has been hijacked, who gives a **** if they decide to initiate a transfer of funds to one of my own bank accounts ffs

Excuse me, I had to get this off my chest. I just want my funds asap. :(

O rly?

I think this whole random "security check" crap is just a farce to get you to sign up for their card. That way your money is in PayPal's possession for longer.

Profit.

I doubt it, it seems to be for business account holders at the moment any way.

But you can withdraw money using ATMs.
