Hi guys can anyone here help me solve my problem.

today i went to ocuk a brought some OCZ 4GB (4 x 1GB) PC2-6400C4 Dual Channel Platinum Revision 2 XTC Series DDR2

to replace my xms2 5300.

Everything is fine at stock settings but when i boot the first screen says the ram is running at 4300?

i tried upping the Mem volts to 2.20 but stil nothing.

My other settings are:

Cpu freq 378x9
Performance -turbo
pcie - 100
pci syn - 33.33
cpu vcore - 1.45
Dram Freq - ? ( anything but auto pc wont boot??)

other settings i aint sure on are
fsb term - auto
meh chip - auto
ich chip - auto

tried the timings at 4.4.4.12 / 4.4.4.15 / 4.4.4.10

Any of you guys recommend anything ?

thanks.

mine says the same at boot - dont worry about it its fine its because of the divider you are running.

put your memory at the stated voltage on the ram and change the performance mode to standard.

i run my ram at 1:1 with a fsb of 850, my e6600 with a 8x multiplier and cpu fsb of 425

if you need i could post you some screen shots

Yeah that would be great if you could mate its pickling my head.

Dont mean to sound stupid but what do ya mean when u say 1:1 ?

so you think i would be better off with a x8 multiplier ?

Is it even possible to run a 6600 at 3.6 with pc6400 ram ??

no settings seem to work what so ever or is this chip at it limit?

I have reached 3.6GHz (400 x 9). It's Orthos stable with 1.525V on Vcore with Corsair PC6400 XMS 2, Mem Timings are 5, 5, 5, 15 and memory Vcore of 1.95V.

Idle @ 3.6GHz = 42c
Load @ 3.6GHz = 53c max.

Beware, I would not disable "memory remap feature" (shown in the earlier images above) as this will make windows only recognise 3GB of your 4GB of OCZ memory.

;)
